LOWDOWN: Back in early November, Gothamist reported the threat of Starlite Lounge, [New York City's oldest black-owned "non-discriminating" bar] being forced to close due to the landlord selling the building.  The Brooklyn Paper recently spoke with owner Dennis Parrott-King, who said he's been ordered to close shop by January 15. His plan: fight the landlord in court or get Starlite protected as a historic venue.
